Privacy Information for Job Applicants

In accordance with data protection legislation, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter GDPR), INFORMA D&B (Serviços de Gestão de Empresas), Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda., as Data Controller, hereby informs that any information provided by the Applicant will be processed in accordance with the applicable legislation and best practices, namely the aforementioned GDPR.

INFORMA D&B has appointed a data protection officer who can be contacted by e-mail at protecaodedados@informa.pt or at: Edifício Atrium Saldanha, Praça Duque de Saldanha, 1 3-A, 1050-094 Lisboa.

 

Occasionally, and if the position to be performed so requires, the Applicant may be asked for additional information input to fulfil requirements required by national or European law, as well as by collective labour agreements, namely personal data of a judicial nature (e.g. criminal record data), which will be processed under the terms of the GDPR.

THE PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

The personal data collected is used for the following purposes:

  • Recruitment and selection of Applicants;
  • Assessing applicants and carrying out psychometric tests;

REASONING

The processing operations of the data collected by INFORMA D&B for the purposes indicated above are based on pre-contractual diligence.

Personal data may be processed if it is necessary for the fulfilment of legal obligations and the defence of interests to which INFORMA D&B is subject, in which case the basis for processing is compliance with the law and legal obligations.

If the applicant provides, on their own initiative, sensitive data in their curriculum vitae, such as: (a) data relating to philosophical or political beliefs; (b) party or trade union membership; (c) religious faith; (d) private life; (e) racial or ethnic origin; (f) health and/or sex life; and (g) genetic data, this sharing of information will be the applicant's full responsibility.

DATA COLLECTION METHODS

Applications can be sent in response to adverts published on the following media: Linkedin, specialised recruitment sites, or by e-mail in the case of spontaneous applications.

SCOPE OF COMMUNICATION AND DISSEMINATION OF DATA

In order to fulfil the aforementioned purposes, INFORMA D&B may transmit the Applicant's data to:

  1. Entities of the Group in which INFORMA D&B operates;
  2. Recruitment and selection companies;

In the event of data transfers to any of the entities identified above that are located in third countries that do not belong to the European Union or the European Economic Area, INFORMA D&B will comply with the law, namely with regard to the suitability of the country of destination with regard to the protection of personal data and the requirements that apply to these transfers, and personal data will not be transferred to jurisdictions that do not offer guarantees of security and protection.

PERSONAL DATA RETENTION PERIOD

INFORMA D&B will keep the data for a period of five years after the staff recruitment and selection process, without prejudice to this period extending for the duration of any legal proceedings and up to a limit of six months after the judgement has become final.

APPLICANTS' RIGHTS

We would like to inform you that INFORMA D&B guarantees applicants the right of access to personal data concerning them, as well as their rectification, erasure, data portability, restriction of processing and the right to object to processing via the following e-mail address: protecaodedados@informa.pt or via the following address: Edifício Atrium Saldanha, Praça Duque de Saldanha, 1 3-A, 1050-094 Lisboa. You also have the right to complain to the National Data Protection Commission.

SECURITY

INFORMA D&B guarantees that the necessary technical and organisational measures have been implemented to protect the data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, dissemination or unauthorised access, as well as against any other form of unlawful processing.

NATURE OF DATA PROVISION AND CONSEQUENCES OF REFUSAL

The provision of personal data, even if optional, may, in the event of refusal, make it impossible for INFORMA D&B to analyse the application.

 

When additional information is requested from the Applicant, namely personal data of a judicial nature, the processing will be necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation to which INFORMA D&B is subject, and in the event of refusal to provide it, INFORMA D&B will not be able to comply with it and will not proceed with the recruitment or employment process.
